Therapist

Cyd is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), with more than 15 years in the profession. She is committed to providing guidance and support to those seeking counseling, healing and purpose. She uses experiential techniques to explore and help the healing process. Cyd is experienced with combining hypnosis, guided imagery, and creative visualization into psychotherapy sessions. Research shows that these forms of therapy are beneficial to those faced with chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, depression, anxiety and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). She believes in the power of thought. She works to help you identify your thoughts and their origin. She appreciates the vulnerability this may bring forth and uses a very gentle approach to explore. In order to completely let go of fear, hurt, shame and guilt, she helps you name it and gain the courage to heal. She doesn’t just tell you what to do, she shows you how and she helps you sustain your progress. Cyd has extensive experience working with couples, teenagers, single parents, blended families, divorced parents, co-parenting, interracial relationships, codependency behaviors, and emotional trauma.

Her personal life experiences have contributed to her commitment to the healing process. She strongly believes that we have what it takes to heal our wounds. She has received training and been a participant at Onsite workshops in Tennessee (www.onsiteworkshops.com). She has an in-depth understanding of the courage it takes to peel back the layers and start the healing. She knows how to breathe and be present in life. She teaches others to do the same. She is very clear about her purpose in life and this is usually felt during the first session. She provides support and gentle guidance on the path to self-acceptance and self-value, teaching you to love yourself and find your inner strength.
